The Southern Wire is pleased to publish the latest news from the Goulburn Day View Club. We are honoured to be attending the next meeting to address members in August.
We enjoyed a delicious meal today at the Goulburn Soldiers Club where 29 members were present with apologies from 2 members. Birthdays were celebrated by Marie Pedlow, Margaret Thompson and Elaine McMartin. Our thoughts are with Jenny Townsend on the death of her sister and we miss Dot McCabe at our meetings, however our Welfare Committee visited Dot recently and she is very well.
We would like to thank all members and guests for their support with the ‘Keep it Sweet and Simple Cake Stall’ held last month which was very successful.
We had no Guest Speaker today but we look forward to our Guest Speakers Sr Bernadette Mary Walsh of Goulburn and Paddy Moylan from The Southern Wire to join us at our 6th August meeting. Our Goulburn Day View Club Social News and photos are now published in the Southern Wire at www.thesouthernwire.com.au their digital page and on Facebook.

Our ZC Robynne Daniels will be at the Goulburn Soldiers Club on Tuesday 7th July 2026 at 10.30a.m. to meet with both Goulburn Day and Goulburn Evening View Club representatives to discuss the Health Survey. If any of our members would like to come along and meet Robynne please give your name to President Margaret and you are most welcome!
The Smith Family would like to thank all N.S.W. View Club members already donating through Return and Earn – they really appreciate the generosity of VIEW Club members. They are now asking that we help spread the word and amplify the impact of an exciting partnership between The Smith Family and Return and Earn by raising awareness and getting local communities involved in hosting bottle and can collection days, running collection drives, inviting friends, families, neighbours and local businesses to donate their containers, encourage all the regular recyclers to donate a portion of their Return and Earn refund to The Smith Family. Sharing the campaign on the local noticeboards, newsletters and social media will also help.

Raffles were won by Michelle Mackie, Kim Tozer and Lea Laidler. Michelle Mackie, Helen Wilkins, Peggy Mills, Pat White and Jenny Sullivan won Lucky Door prizes. The Lucky Programme was won by Jenny Sullivan and the Lucky Number was won today by Margaret Gooch. Congratulations to all winners.
