We had a friendly gathering this month (April 2nd) and it was great to see so many of our members and we hope you all enjoyed the day with us!

Get well wishes are sent to our members who have not been in the best of health, and when they recover, we look forward to seeing you back at a Luncheon or Social Day!

We have welcomed six new members so far this year, and we hope they feel at home here with us and enjoy all our activities.

Our guest speaker for today’s meeting was Nicole Warren from Australian Unity, who provide home care and disability services in Goulburn, Eden, Cooma, Canberra, Queanbeyan, Young, Harden, and Boorowa.

It focuses on tailored care for seniors under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Support at Home programme and her presentation was enjoyed by all.

Lucky Door prizes were won by Del Nelson, Margaret Stewart, Pam Denning, Brenda Writer, Margaret Thompson, and Helen Scott.

The lucky programme was won today by Brenda Writer.

The Lucky Number was won by Jenny Sullivan, and raffles were won by Jenni Aubrey, Lea Laidler and Margaret Thompson.

Birthdays were celebrated by Margaret Walcott and Jenny Sullivan, best wishes for your birthdays from all at Goulburn Day View and congratulations to all!

We also hosted an Easter Bonnet competition, and the winners were ‘Cheapest Bonnet’ – Joycelyn Cooper; ‘Traditional Bonnet’ – Jane Booth; and ‘Funniest Bonnet’ – Geraldine Hunt.

The highlight of our March social day was to have Dot McCabe attend.

Dot is over 100 years old, and our oldest Club member.

It was great to catch up with Dot, as she cannot always get to luncheons due to transport issues.
