Goulburn has cemented its reputation as one of the state’s leading regional hockey destinations with two major competitions attracting some of the nation’s best indoor and outdoor players.

Goulburn has cemented its reputation as one of the state’s leading regional hockey destinations with two major competitions attracting some of the nation’s best indoor and outdoor players.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council has partnered with Hockey NSW to host the Hockey NSW Indoor State Championships.
The event will continue to provide a major economic boost and at the same time lift the sport’s profile across the region.
It has also been confirmed that the Goulburn District Hockey Association will host Round 6 of the Hockey One League – Australia’s premier hockey league – with the NSW Pride to take on the Adelaide Fire on November 14.
The Hockey NSW Indoor State Championships returned to Goulburn in October for the first year of a new two-year hosting agreement.
With the Veolia Arena recognised as one of the best indoor hockey facilities in NSW, teams from across the state have already battled it out in the Open Men’s and Open Women’s divisions.
Still to come are the Under 18 Women’s (November 21-23), Under 18 Men’s (December 5-7) and Masters Women’s (January 30 – February 1, 2026).
In total, the indoor events are expected to attract more than 1,350 players, families and officials to the Goulburn area, providing a $2.2 million boost to the local economy with local businesses, accommodation providers and hospitality venues set to benefit.
The Goulburn Regional Hockey Centre will play host to some of the nation’s best hockey players on November 14 with NSW Pride taking on the Adelaide Storm in the Hockey One League.
The men’s game will commence at 6.30pm and the women’s game at 8.15pm with a number of local names set to take the field.
Admission to the indoor championships is free for spectators.
