Gothic Fairytale Hit GRIMM Coming To Goulburn For One Night Only
A dark and twisted take on classic fairytales is coming to Goulburn later this month as nationally acclaimed theatre company Shake & Stir Theatre Co brings its hit production GRIMM to the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre.
A dark and twisted take on classic fairytales is coming to Goulburn later this month as nationally acclaimed theatre company Shake & Stir Theatre Co brings its hit production GRIMM to the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre.
The production will be staged for one night only on Tuesday, June 23, as part of a national tour following a sold-out return season in Brisbane.
GRIMM reimagines familiar fairytale characters, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, taking audiences into a world of gothic storytelling, dark humour and unexpected twists.
Created by the award-winning team behind productions such as Frankenstein, Jane Eyre and 1984, the show has received strong reviews from critics and audiences.
InReview described the production as "one of Brisbane Festival's standouts and hottest tickets", while The Fame Reporter called it "a delightfully chaotic romp through the darker corners of fairy tale lore".
The Goulburn performance will be the fourth stop on the national tour, allowing local audiences to see one of Australia's leading theatre companies perform in the region.
The production is recommended for audiences aged 14 years and over and contains adult themes, sexual references, simulated violence and gore, smoke effects, strobe lighting and loud sound effects.
GRIMM will be performed at the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday, June 23, from 7pm.
