The NSW Land and Environment Court hearing got underway at the 30 Douglas Rd site in Moss Vale for Cloud Carrier’s data centre this morning.

Wingecarribee Shire Councillor Heather Champion and about 200 other people turned out in force to oppose a proposal for a 16 megawatt gas – fired power plant and then a 703 megawatt proposal in the future, which would make the facility one of the largest gas power plants in Australia.

The Southern Wire’s ANTONY DUBBER caught up with Cr Champion, Dr Jacqueline Duc and local resident Beth Boughton to gauge their thoughts on the proposal.
