The 2026 Robertson Show was a wonderful success with thousands attending over the two days, even in the rain deluge that engulfed the village on Saturday afternoon.

A hot and steamy morning turned into a damp afternoon, with a massive thunderstorm rolling in about 2:30pm.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, East Kangaloon received a huge 61 millimetres of rain in the two hours to 4:15pm.

This unfortunately led to the famous potato races and other popular events in the show ring to be cancelled.

But that didn't dampen spirits, as visitors flocked inside to have a look at the exhibits in the pavilion and enjoy Devonshire teas served up by the CWA in the dining room.

The Southern Wire will have more information and stories from the 2026 Robertson Show over the weekend.
