The Goulburn Regional Art Gallery will receive a grant of almost $125,000 to redevelop its front entrance.

The $124,499 grant was announced this week as part of the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants Program.

The program re-invests profits from registered club’s gaming machines to support local organisations, community groups and charities.

The grants are awarded in four categories – Arts and Culture, Community Infrastructure, Disaster Readiness and Sports and Recreation.

A total of $6.4 million was handed out to 39 projects across the four different categories.

Minister for Gaming and Racing David Harris congratulated the grant recipients and wished them well “as they undertake these worthy projects to benefit their communities.

He said the grants would support local communities to create or upgrade facilities that bring people together to strengthen relationships, increase health and well-being through participation in sport, recreation and the arts and to prepare and respond to natural disasters.
