The Rotary Club of Goulburn is gearing up for its annual Charity Golf Day on Friday, November 20 with four local charities set to benefit.
The annual event will bring together local businesses, golfers and community supporters for a great day on the green - all in the name of giving back.
Held at the Goulburn Golf Club, the popular event is one of Rotary’s major annual fundraisers, with proceeds this year supporting four local organisations making a real difference in the community.
This year’s beneficiaries will be Convoy for Kids Goulburn, Gundary Rural Fire Brigade, Cystic Fibrosis Goulburn and the Goulburn Parkinson’s Support Group.
Event coordinator Rose Nixon said the annual golf day was “much more than a round of golf”.
“It’s an opportunity for the community to come together, have some fun and raise funds that will stay local and make a tangible difference,” she said this week.
“Our Charity Golf Day is always a fantastic occasion, but what makes it really special is knowing that every team, sponsor and supporter is helping us give back to our community.
“We’re incredibly grateful to our sponsors, who make events like this possible and to everyone who gets involved.
“The four organisations we’re supporting this year all do important work locally, and we’re proud to be able to lend a hand.”
The event is made possible through the generous support of local businesses with Holcim returning as Major Sponsor, alongside Silver Sponsors Goulburn Country Motors, Mitre 10, RJ Sidney Craig, Goulburn Workers, RSM and Worklocker.
The day will feature an 18-hole, three-person Ambrose competition with plenty of fun along the way including a Hole-in-One competition supported by Goulburn MG, prizes, raffles, food and refreshments.
The golf day will be held on Friday, November 20 at the Goulburn Golf Club in Blackshaw Road with arrival at 7.30am for a shotgun start at 8.30am.
The cost is $240 for a team of three including golf, breakfast, lunch, refreshments and more.
