Yass Valley Council is calling for Expressions of Interest to join their Christmas on Comur Street Working Group.
"We're seeking Expressions of Interest from community members, local businesses, and anyone passionate about helping bring Christmas on Comur Street to life on Thursday 10 December 2026," Yass Valley Council Mayor Jasmin Jones told The Southern Wire.
The Christmas on Comur Street Working Group will play a key role in planning and delivering this year's festive celebrations, working collaboratively to create a vibrant, welcoming event for the community and visitors.
"We're looking for people who are enthusiastic, creative, and keen to contribute their ideas, skills, and time," Cr. Jones added.
"Whether you have experience in event planning, marketing, decorating, fundraising, logistics, or simply want to get involved in making our town shine during the festive season, we'd love to hear from you!"
Cr Jones also outlined that as a member of the Working Group, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Contribute ideas and help shape this year's Christmas celebrations;
- Support the planning and coordination of activities and events;
- Work alongside local businesses, community groups, and volunteers; and
- Help create a memorable Christmas experience for the Yass community.
