Driver suffers medical episode at busy Moss Vale intersection

At approximately 12:30pm this afternoon, a driver of a utility aged in his sixties unfortunately suffered a medical episode at the intersection of Argyle and Kirkham Sts.

At approximately 12:30pm this afternoon, a driver of a utility aged in his sixties unfortunately suffered a medical episode at the intersection of Argyle and Kirkham Sts.

Reports from bystanders indicate that the driver ploughed into the back entrance of well known café, Flour Bar.

Emergency services including paramedics, Fire and Rescue, Police and the SES all rushed to the scene within minutes.

A spokesperson from NSW Police explained to The Southern Wire how it all unfolded.

“At about 12:40pm today (Monday 24 November 2025), emergency services were called to a business on Argyle Street, near Kirkham Street, Moss Vale following reports a car crashed into a building,” the spokesperson said.

“Officers attached to Southern Highlands Police Station, the Hume Police District, responded and commenced CPR on the 66-year-old male driver – before NSW Ambulance arrived and continued treatment.

“The man was transported by road to Community Oval on Kirkham Street, Moss Vale before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

“No one inside the business was injured, and there was no significant structural damage to the building.

“Early indications suggest the person may have suffered a medical episode.”

A spokesperson from Ambulance NSW also told The Southern Wire that just before 1pm a male in his 60s was transported to Liverpool Hospital via a TOLL rescue helicopter.
