Driver and passenger charged after pursuit ends in Moss Vale crash
A man and a woman have been charged following a police pursuit that ended in a crash at Moss Vale, with police alleging the vehicle reached speeds of up to 180km/h.

A man and a woman have been charged following a police pursuit that ended in a crash at Moss Vale, with police alleging the vehicle reached speeds of up to 180km/h.
Shortly before 9.30am today (Friday), officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol attempted to stop a grey Ford Focus allegedly speeding at Mittagong.
Police allege the driver failed to stop as directed, prompting a pursuit. The pursuit was terminated shortly afterwards due to safety concerns.
The vehicle allegedly continued south-west along the Hume Highway before taking the Illawarra Highway exit at Sutton Forest.
A short time later, emergency services were called to Argyle Street, Moss Vale, following reports the vehicle had crashed. No injuries were reported.
A 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station.
Police allege both returned positive roadside drug tests for methamphetamine.
The man was charged with eight offences, including police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h, driving in a dangerous manner, negligent driving, driving while unlicensed and contravening a prohibition or restriction in an apprehended violence order.
The woman was charged with permitting a never-licensed driver to drive a vehicle, driving in a dangerous manner and breaching bail.
Both were refused bail and are due to appear before the Local Bail Division tomorrow, Saturday, 20 June 2026.
Police will allege in court the vehicle reached speeds of up to 180km/h during the incident.
