All truck drivers have now been accounted for following a major crash and fire that destroyed six semi-trailers at Breadalbane early this morning.

All truck drivers have now been accounted for following a major crash and fire that destroyed six semi-trailers at Breadalbane early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Windmills Rest Area in the northbound lanes of the Hume Highway, about 32km south-west of Goulburn, about 5am on Tuesday after reports of a multi-vehicle crash and fire.
Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze, which destroyed all six trucks.
NSW Ambulance treated six male truck drivers for minor injuries, with two men, aged 23 and 28, taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police have now confirmed all drivers involved in the crash have been accounted for.
Initial investigations indicate two trucks collided and caught fire before the blaze spread to four other semi-trailers parked in the nearby rest area.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit, have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Hume Highway remains closed in both directions at Breadalbane and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
Motorists are being diverted via the Federal Highway and Barton Highway through Canberra. The detour is suitable for vehicles up to 26-metre B-doubles and is expected to add about 80 minutes to travel times.
