Traffic was at a standstill in Moss Vale’s Argyle St at approximately 3:30pm this afternoon after an incident between three cars outside the Subway sandwich shop.

Witnesses from a nearby business told The Southern Wire they heard a loud bang and saw a man being treated for minor injuries, with the three cars later being towed away, having sustained substantial damage.

Traffic was diverted via Elizabeth and Valetta Sts and the roundabout heading southbound from McDonald’s Moss Vale was closed off until around 4:15pm for the incident site to be cleaned up.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson told The Southern Wire that the driver was an elderly man believed to be in his 80’s who suffered a medical episode and collided with the two other vehicles that were parked on the roadside.

A spokesperson from NSW Police also confirmed what happened at the scene.

"About 3.30pm today (Tuesday 20 October 2026), emergency services were called to Argyle Street, Moss Vale, following reports of a crash," the spokesperson told The Southern Wire.

"As inquiries continue, anyone with dashcam or CCTV vision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
