Council transitions to a new phone number
Wingecarribee Shire Council is about to transition to a new telephone number.

Wingecarribee Shire Council is about to transition to a new telephone number.
Council has traditionally used a local number but has advised that a new 1300 number will replace the existing main number and individual service numbers.
It says the move will make it simpler for ratepayers to contact council and will enable council’s frontline staff to respond to enquiries more efficiently.
Council has advised that testing of the new number will commence next week (March 16) – during which time there may be limited phone availability.
There will be a six-month transition period commencing in late March during which existing numbers will remain ‘active’ – but callers will be automatically redirected to the 1300 number.
Council says the change is part of its “ongoing commitment to improving customer experience and modernising service delivery”.
Council’s new number will be 1300 680 888.
