Council General Manager Concedes Road Works Not Good Enough
Goulburn Mulwaree Council General Manager Scott Gallacher has admitted road works on Mountain Ash Road are “unsatisfactory”
Goulburn Mulwaree Council General Manager Scott Gallacher has admitted road works on Mountain Ash Road are “unsatisfactory” and says further repairs will now be delayed until September.
The general manager says council is "aware of community frustration" over the condition of the road. Council has issued its contractor with non-performance notices.
“Unfortunately, due to ongoing weather conditions, further rectification works will now need to be delayed until September,” the general manager said.
The road conditions have sparked growing concern among residents and motorists using the area.
Council said safety remained the priority while interim measures continued.
Motorists have been urged to follow signage, drive to conditions and take extra care travelling through the area until works recommence.
