Community asked to tee up for a cause
Pop In Wingecarribee is calling on the community to tee up for a cause this October, with the organisation’s 4th Annual Charity Golf Day returning to Moss Vale Golf Club on Friday, October 23.
Pop In Wingecarribee is calling on the community to tee up for a cause this October, with the organisation’s 4th Annual Charity Golf Day returning to Moss Vale Golf Club on Friday, October 23.
Bringing together local businesses, community members and keen golfers, the annual event is an opportunity to enjoy a day on the course while raising vital funds to support women and children impacted by domestic violence and abuse across the Wingecarribee
Shire.
A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses interested in supporting the event.
Pop In requires approximately $1 million each year to continue delivering its free, trauma-informed services to the local community.
Funds raised through this year’s Charity Golf Day have the potential to make a significant contribution toward the cost of a full-time specialist domestic violence case worker.
Since opening its doors in 2021, Pop In has supported more than 1,000 women and children, providing specialist casework alongside practical assistance, recovery programs and opportunities for social connection.
The Charity Golf Day has become an important event on Pop In’s fundraising calendar, bringing the community together for a day of friendly competition while supporting the organisation’s ongoing work.
This year’s event will kick off with an 8.30am shotgun start and will be played as a four person Ambrose.
Lunch will follow at 1.30pm at Dormie House, along with the presentation of the annual trophy.
Registrations are $500 for a team of four or $125 for individual players.
Individual entrants are welcome, with Moss Vale Golf Club arranging teams for those who register without one.
