Canyonleigh Community Association welcomes new President
Ian Bollen said he was honoured to have been elected president at the association’s recent annual general meeting.
The Canyonleigh Community Association has a new president.
Ian Bollen said he was honoured to have been elected president at the association’s recent annual general meeting.
He will be joined on the committee by vice president Karen Cain (still to be confirmed), secretary Carmen Johnston, treasurer Gemma Gooding and committee members Emma Jordan and Tatiana Kirkland.
Mr Bollen said he was looking forward to working with the committee under the vision ‘Connecting our Community. Strengthening our Voice’.
“This year we will continue advocating for Canyonleigh, strengthening ties with our neighbouring southern villages, installing two community two community AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), delivering great community events and securing grants that benefit the entire the community.”
Mr Bollen thanked outgoing president Annette Smith for “more than eight years of outstanding service” – including the last two of them as president.
He also thanked Paul Louis for his contribution to the committee as well as members, volunteers, sponsors and local businesses for their ongoing support.
“Together we can build an even stronger future for Canyonleigh,” Mr Bollen said.
“If you are not a member please consider joining so our voice is even louder when we are advocating to council on everyone’s behalf and applying for grants to support projects across the area.”
Mr Bollen said he was looking forward to “seeing and meeting as many community members as possible” at association events throughout the year.
