Bowral screening to support local heritage gardens and landscapes
A special film screening at Bowral’s Empire Cinema this week will help support heritage gardens and landscapes across the Southern Highlands.
A special film screening at Bowral’s Empire Cinema this week will help support heritage gardens and landscapes across the Southern Highlands.
Wednesday’s (July 22) screening of The Rose Maker is being organised by The Australian Garden History Society (Southern Highlands Branch) and funds raised will help support the group’s community advocacy efforts.
The film will start at 2pm. Tickets are $28 (including a choc-top or bottled water on arrival) and are available at the box office or online at empirecinema.com.au
The Rose Maker is a 2020 French comedy film starring Catherine Frot as Eve Vernet – a formerly successful rose grower on the verge of bankruptcy, who hires three workers with no horticultural skills and must train them to help save her business.
It has a running time of 105 minutes.
The Australian Garden History Society was established in 1980 and promotes awareness and conservation of significant gardens and cultural landscapes through engagement, research, advocacy and activities.
