One of the biggest weekends on the Murrumbateman calendar, the 2026 Murrumbateman Field Days, is on again this Saturday and Sunday, October 17 & 18 at the Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds.
Hosted by the Murrumbateman Community Association (MCA) in association with the Association of Agricultural Field Days of Australasia (AAFDA), the Field Days have been running for over 40 years, and bring together the local community and agricultural businesses and exhibitors from all across the Yass Valley, NSW Southern Region and the ACT to spruik their wares.
“Across 40 hectares of the Recreation Grounds, the Field Days will showcase over 300 exhibitors catering to everyone from large-scale farmers and agri-businesses to hobby farmers, rural lifestyle enthusiasts, and ‘tree-changers’,” the Murrumbateman Field Days website states.
“Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of exhibits, including tractors, farm machinery, house building equipment, and livestock.
“Families will also love the lifestyle shopping, entertainment, children’s rides, and a delicious selection of food and drinks.”
An opening ceremony with local politicians and sponsors will commence at 9:45am tomorrow morning (Saturday), with proceedings then getting underway after that.
Musical performers throughout the day will include JCM, Wallace Mair, Tanamasi, Derryth & Dino, Shindig & Daniel Kelly.
Then at 3pm (and 3:30pm Sunday) are the famous ‘Golden Gumboot Awards’.
A prize goes to who will receive the Golden Gumboot award for the furthest Saturday and Sunday throw.
Then on Sunday there will be further performances from Dazzle Dance, Trev Tak, Twilight Jazz, Ruby Holden, Boomshanka and Dust & Echos.

New activities for this year’s event include:
