Australian first? AI speaker screams at Yass Valley councillors
Yass Valley councillors may have witnessed an Australian first on Wednesday afternoon when an artificial intelligence-generated voice delivered a public forum address that risked a server meltdown!
Yass Valley councillors may have witnessed an Australian first on Wednesday afternoon when an artificial intelligence-generated voice delivered a public forum address that risked a server meltdown.
The unusual presentation occurred during the public forum preceding Council's extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, 14 October.
At times the delivery became particularly animated, with the voice suddenly rising to an extremely loud volume, prompting smirks and amused expressions from some members of the public gallery.
At the conclusion of the unusual address, Mayor Jasmin Jones appeared momentarily taken aback, responding simply: "Ah, okay."
Perhaps those arguing against the expansion of data centres have just been handed their most compelling evidence yet!
