Attempted murder outside World Gym at Gregory Hills
Police were called to the World Gym on Steer Road, Gregory Hills, following reports of shots fired at about 8.35am today (Friday 5 December)

Officers from the Camden Police Area Command attended and discovered a number of shots had been fired towards a man outside the gym.
Acting Superintendent Gretchen Atkins told reporters, “We have spoken with him but he is not assisting us with our inquiries at this point in time.”
He left the scene in a white Toyta HiLux.
Witnesses saw two males, armed with firearms and dressed in black clothing and face coverings. One, Lucas, told 2GB’s Ben Fordham he was at work when he saw “two people with balaclavas on their head” and armed with weapons. He said the gunmen allegedly fired “eight or nine” shots before fleeing the scene.
Superintendent Atkins said the carpark was “exceptionally busy” at the time of the shooting.
“This is a really busy carpark, there are so many people and cars and it is just fortunate that no person was injured seriously or killed,” she said.
A crime scene has been established and a Police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
