Another round of night closures on Hampden Bridge

Motorists are being warned of another round of night closures on Hampden Bridge at Kangaroo Valley for on-going repair works.

Motorists are being warned of another round of night closures on Hampden Bridge at Kangaroo Valley for on-going repair works.

The works will commence this Sunday night (July 19) weather permitting and will continue through until the end of the month.

The nearest detour will be via Macquarie Pass – adding 90 minutes travel time for those people travelling to the Shoalhaven region.

The bridge will be closed:

· Sunday, July 19 from 10pm to 5am;

· Monday, July 20 to Thursday, July 23 from 6pm to 6am;

· Sunday, July 26 from10pm to 5am;

· Monday, July 27 from 8.30pm to 5am;

· Tuesday, July 28 July to Thursday, July 30 from 8pm to 5am.

The bridge will remain open to pedestrians under the guidance of traffic control.

Night work will also be carried out from 7pm to 5am weather permitting on Friday, July 24 and Friday, July 31 however the bridge will remain open to traffic.

From Monday, August 3 work will continue between 7am to 6pm on weekdays, weather permitting.

During daytime work, Hampden Bridge will remain open to traffic under stop/slow traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 10 km/h for trucks and buses for the safety of workers and motorists.
