Accident involving multiple vehicles in Bowral this morning

Emergency services were called to an incident near the corner of Glebe St and Bowral St around 11:45am this morning involving multiple vehicles.

Emergency services were called to an incident near the corner of Glebe St and Bowral St around 11:45am this morning involving multiple vehicles.

The vehicles all sustained serious damage.

A male aged in his 80’s was transported to Bowral Hospital with suspected shoulder and head injuries, with the two other drivers refusing medical assistance from paramedics at the scene.

A witness confirmed to The Southern Wire that she heard the banging from the cars crashing into each other and then called emergency services who arrived onto the scene within minutes.

The witness also confirmed that she heard and saw the airbags deploy in all of the vehicles.

A spokesperson from Fire and Rescue NSW told The Southern Wire that several of their appliances were tasked to the scene.

“About 11:50am this morning (5/6/26) FRNSW were notified of a motor vehicle accident on Bowral St, Bowral,” the spokesperson said.

“FRNSW responded with one fire truck (4 firefighters) from Bowral Fire Station to the incident to assist.

“On arrival firefighters located the accident that involved five vehicles. There were no people trapped. NSW Ambulance paramedics were also in attendance and treated two people from the collision.

“NSW Police were also in attendance at the incident.”

The cause of the accident is still yet to be confirmed.
