Motorists are being advised of changed traffic conditions on Lachlan Valley Way at Bowning from next week for essential maintenance work.

Single lane closures will be in place on a 1.1-kilometre section of Lachlan Valley Way between Walls Junction Road and 400 metres north of Bendenine Stock Road, to resurface the road and install barriers to provide a safer road.

Transport for NSW says it is resurfacing the road and installing barriers to improve safety.

The work is not expected to be completed until May this year, weather permitting.

Work will be carried out from 7am to 5pm weekdays and 8am to 1pm Saturdays starting Monday (February 9).
Traffic control and reduced speed limits of 40 km/h will be in place for the duration of the project to guide road users through the work zone.

Motorists are advised to follow the directions of traffic control and signage and allow an extra five minutes’ travel time.
