Resurfacing works planned for Sydney Road, Goulburn
Motorists are being advised that a section of Sydney Road in Goulburn will be closed for five nights for road resurfacing works starting Sunday (February 15).
Motorists are being advised that a section of Sydney Road in Goulburn will be closed for five nights for road resurfacing works starting Sunday (February 15).
Sydney Road northbound will be closed between Gorman Road and the Goulburn bypass northbound rest area from Sunday through to Thursday, February 20 between 7pm and 5am, weather permitting.
During work hours, detours for light vehicles to gain northbound access to the Hume Highway will be in place via Sloan Street, Cowper Road and Hume Street.
There will be delays of at least 10 minutes.
Southbound single lane closures and a reduced speed of 40 km/h will also be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Heavy vehicles and emergency services will be escorted through the work site via traffic control as there is no suitable detour.
Residents within the work area will be able to access their properties at all times under the guidance of traffic controllers.
Access to the Goulburn bypass northbound rest area will be maintained under the guidance of traffic controllers.
Motorists are advised to drive to conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
