There will be plenty on offer in Victoria Park for Goulburn residents on Australia Day (January 26).

Victoria Park will be alive with market stalls, food vendors, live entertainment and free family activities from 9am through until 2pm.

There will be a citizenship ceremony at 9am followed by the official Australia Day ceremony at 10am featuring First Nations performances, local choirs, an address from the Australia Day Ambassador, Barry Griffiths and presentation of this year’s Australia Day awards.

The 2026 awards will include Citizen of the Year, Junior Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Junior Sportsperson of the Year, Senior Sportsperson of the Year and Event of the Year.

Mr Griffiths is well known in the region as a Deputy Zone Commander for the NSW SES South-Eastern Zone, based in Goulburn.

Families will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of free activities at Victoria Park throughout the morning and early afternoon, including roller skating in the Rage Cage with Headspace Goulburn, three-on-three basketball with the Goulburn Youth Council, lawn games, a jumping castle and face painting.

There will also be car club displays and live entertainment provided by the Lilac City Brass Band, Brew Band and other local musicians.

Accessibility and inclusion will be a priority for the event with a sensory friendly space available and accessible parking and on-site assistance provided by the Goulburn Inclusion Forum Volunteers.

In Marulan, Australia Day celebrations will be held at Tony Onions Memorial Park from 9am through to 1pm.

The community event will feature a jumping castle, face painting and food stalls, with the official ceremony commencing at 9.30am.
