Man in custody over alleged Goulburn saddle theft and other offences
A man has been remanded in custody over the alleged theft of two distinctive horse saddles from a property in Goulburn and a range of other offences.

A man has been remanded in custody over the alleged theft of two distinctive horse saddles from a property in Goulburn and a range of other offences.
The man was arrested on the NSW North Coast after attempting to sell the saddles to a business in Victoria Street, Taree.
He was charged with a number of other offences including the theft of a vehicle from Yass.
He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division – Court 1 yesterday (Tuesday) where he was further refused bail to appear before Taree Local Court on Monday, February 9.
At approximately 2.40pm on Monday afternoon (January 5), police from the Manning Great Lake’s Rural Crime Prevention Team responded to reports of a 34-year-old man attempting to sell suspicious items.
They established the items were allegedly the same saddles stolen from a Goulburn address between November 16 and 17 last year.
Police searched the man’s vehicle and found it was allegedly stolen from a property in Yass on December 24.
They allegedly located and seized a range of items including a crowbar, ammunition and a hunting knife.
He was charged with a total of 12 offences including attempt to dispose of stolen property worth more than $5000, hindering or resisting police in the execution of their duties and possession of a prohibited drug.
Other charges related to participating in a criminal group, custody of a knife, possession of housebreaking implements, break and enter (steal value greater than $60,000) and reckless driving.
