Half Marathon a success despite challenging winds

The Goulburn Half Marathon, hosted by Race Hub and supported by Goulburn businesses CAFE 5911 and a variety of other local small businesses, was hailed a success despite winds of close to 60km/h on Sunday morning.

The Goulburn Half Marathon, held by Race Hub and supported by Goulburn businesses CAFE 5911 and a variety of other local small businesses, was hailed a success despite winds of close to 60km/h on Sunday morning.

Over 500 finishers crossed the line, which started and ended at Riverside Park, with four categories – the full half marathon distance (21.1kms), 10kms, 5kms and 2kms.

Results for the Half Marathon in the male and female categories are as follows:

Males: 1. Jonathon Moore (with a time of 1hr 16 mins 34 secs),2nd – Cameron Roberts (1:18:35) and 3rd - Jarrod Sopniewski (1:21:06).

Females: 1. Keira Germech – 1:34:55, 2nd: Chloe Hanbury – 1:38:42 & 3rd: Amy Craig – 1:43:11

The 10kms results were also as follows:

Males: 1. Zbynek Hanys – 35 mins 1 second; 2nd – Ka Ming Wong: 37:54 & 3rd: Lachlan Li Chiang – 38:02

Females: 1. Anna Schroder – 47:19, 2nd – Amy Abbey – 47:52 & 3rd – Caterina Dzelic-Hanson – 47:52

5kms results:

Males: 1. Rowan Brignell – 19:46; 2nd – Gabriele Taurasi – 21:03 & 3rd – Ashton Griffiths – 21:26

Females: 1. Caitlyn Hogan – 22:12; 2nd – Talicia Beardsmore – 23:09 & 3rd – Isabella Foster – 25:35.

2kms results:

Males: 1. Charlie Remollino – 11:27; 2nd – Ashton Brignell (U12 Category) - 11:51 & 3rd – Edward Dennison (U12) - 12:05

Females: Sophie Haynes (U12) - 10:18; 2nd – Ruby Remollino – 11:28 & 3rd – Liliana Massey (U12) - 13:47.

“A huge shoutout to all our amazing volunteers who made the race day magic happen, John Connell Real Estate for sponsoring the 10km event and Blissd for those post race massages,” a spokesperson from Race Hub said.

“Thanks for being part of an incredible day, Goulburn, and we’ll see you back in 2026!”

Participants were also awarded with medals and tee – shirts at the conclusion of the race.
