Judo Australia Sports Director, Luis Val – himself a former Olympian - said the Canberra International Open was a national point-scoring tournament, providing Australian elite athletes with the opportunity to earn ranking points toward selection for international competition and representation of Australia at events around the world.
“The Canberra International Open continues to play a vital role in developing Australia’s pathway athletes, bringing together emerging talent and seasoned competitors in a high-quality tournament environment.

Admission to the events will be free of charge.
