Crookwell man charged over alleged domestic violence incident

About 3.30am on Sunday, 9 November 2025, officers from The Hume Police District responded to a home in Crookwell following reports of concern for welfare.
Police were told a woman had allegedly been punched in the head and threatened with a knife before a man fled the scene.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 36-year-old woman for facial injuries before taking her to Goulburn Base Hospital for further treatment.
A short time later, officers sighted the man driving towards the Crookwell CBD. When he allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated but later terminated due to safety concerns.
Following inquiries and information from the public, about 5.30pm on Monday, 10 November 2025, police attended a unit in Crookwell, where they arrested a 27-year-old man. He was taken to Goulburn Police Station.
The man was charged with 10 offences:
Assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV)
Destroy or damage property (DV)
Armed with intent to commit an indictable offence
Stalk/intimidate intending to cause fear of physical harm
Police pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly
Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period (two counts)
Custody of knife in public place
Use unregistered Class A motor vehicle on road
Contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic)
He was refused bail and appeared before the Bail Court today (Tuesday, 11 November 2025), where bail was formally refused. He is due to appear in Goulburn Local Court on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.
