Community centre changes name
The Moss Vale Senior Citizens and Community Centre will now be known simply as the Moss Vale Community Centre.

The Moss Vale Senior Citizens and Community Centre will now be known simply as the Moss Vale Community Centre.
Wingecarribee Shire Council adopted the name change at its September meeting without debate.
Staff reported that the community centre in Queen Street was originally established to accommodate a senior citizens group and broader community group.
However the senior citizens group was dissolved more than two decades ago and the facility has since functioned as a general purpose community centre used by a diverse range of groups.
They said changing the name to Moss Vale Community Centre would better reflect the inclusivity and multi-purpose nature of the facility.
The facility’s current 355 Management Committee initiated the request for the name change and was consulted during the process.
Council officers will now work with the committee to update signage at the community centre using funds from 'existing budgets'.
